Can turtles do crossword puzzles?

YES THEY CAN!

I was helping Gramma with her big crossword puzzle book. She can usually do a crossword puzzle a day. With me helping, I feel she's even faster. Now, I know I'm not allowed up on the table but, if I put my cute face on and purr a little, I can get away with it!

I like to consider myself the world's largest paperweight. In order for this to be effective, I must do a turtle. This way, I'm harder to move. I know how to sit real still and not disturb anything around me. Well, except the pen in Gramma's hand if it gets too close to my mouth... Gramma's hands are real tempting too. She wears theraputic gloves to help her circulation and I think they're great fun to bite. Gramma hates it when I do that though... I don't think she sees how much fun I am having when I wrap my paws around her arm and kick with my back legs.

Anyway, back to the crossword puzzle. I need to think of a 7-letter word for 8 down. The clue is poisonous evergreen. Hmmm...
