Don't punish me...

There is a famous saying that goes, "While the cats away, the mice do play"...well, in my house, that saying is "While the beans a'sleep, the cat does peep". It's the truth! The hours between 2am and 7am are MY bewitching hours. If anything that happens to stuff in the house during that time, I shouldn't be punished for it with loud words once the lazy beans decide to start their day. Perfect example:

I did a marvelous job at knocking over the crystal piano. I tipped it over to look more like modern art. Momma wasn't so impressed when she noticed what I had done. Instead, she maked loud words at me and pointed at the piano. She said something about idle hands being the devil's workshop (I didn't want to embarass her by pointing out the fact that I don't have hands).

Good Job!!! Uhhh, did you break it? I once broke a 'spensive dollie that mom has... broke her foot right off... Know what? Mom didn't even say loud words at me. I was a bad kitten... I'm going to be 15 on St. Patrick's day, and I still do mischeif sometimes.

Pay her no mind......all you gotta do is give her the lovin looks with the eyes and she will forget all about it. I don't know why they get upset anyway, they need to learn to nap and not sleep so long in the dark time.

If you aren't allowed to play with it, then why does your mom leave it out? I figure if mum leaves stuff out, I am allowed to play with it. So any of her xpensive breaky stuff in behind doors that I can't open.

How can a People expect a kitty to leave something that shiny alone? And you were just making art! You should be given crunchy treats for your effort and talent!

Whoa, Timmy! I get grounded to the laundry room to sleep when I do that stuff, 'cause when they do the loud voice and pointy fingers, I give them the, "What?" look. And then I start grooming. Which probably isn't the best approach. 'Cause then I'm in jail...

Why is it that moms just don't get it? EVERYTHING IS A TOY. ALL TOYS BELONG TO US.

I don't think it's that hard, really.

Absolutely, Wm. If it's in your house, it's yours. And so you can do anything you want with YOUR stuff!

Um...hello?!

Someone should be playing that piano--I say you did her a favor. An unplayed piano (even a tiny crystal one) is a sad, sad thing.

She's probably just jealous that you made better music on it than she did!

Don't know what she's complaining about, Timmy. If she didn't want you to "play" with it, she shouldn't have left it where you could get at it, right?

Wow, you really tipped it, but it didn't break!

But that thing really does beg to be messed with. I would have probably picked it up in my mouth!

Good job, Timmy. You managed to rearrange without breaking. Well done!

Hey, I like it better the way you did it! A month after my mommy and daddy found me on the side of the road, I got a little more bold with exploring and I broke a wise man from the manger scene my grandma gave my mommy. my mommy didn't even yell at me! She said that since she saw me up on the table before, she should've moved it where I couldn't get to it. I even got cuddles and a snack because the breaky noise scared me. those lovin looks are the best for getting out of trouble, especially if you look scared by what happened. love your website timothy! I'm trying to get my mommy to make me one! kitty love, Hendrix
