My Boo-Boo Foot

Mommy and Gramma both noticed that I was holding my right foot up in the air all day. At first, they thought it was charming... they should know better. I am always charming. Everything I do is charming. But, this is something different. There's somethin' wrong with my toe that hurts real bad so I'm favoring it.

Mommy cradled me and touched my toes and I tried my hardest not to put the bite on her but it hurt so bad I winced, snapped at her hand and pulled my foot away. I felt so bad that I snapped at my Mommy that I kissed her to tell her I was sorry. She says it looks like it's a little swollen. Gramma says to sleep on it and if it gets worse, I might have to go visit Dr. Strazza again real soon. I sure hope it heals itself. I need that foot. I do everything with it like walk, jump, dig, scratch, pull treats out of cans (which is the most important thing of all) and play with my toys. I'm gonna be real brave, sleep on it and see how it is in the morning but it sure hurts :(

::3/25/05 Update::
Guess what?! Gramma was right! I slept on it and now, it doesn't hurt anymore! I have been up and runnin' around, jumpin' on and off the bed and sittin' down without havin' to hold my paw up in the air! I'm so happy it got better (so is Mommy a'cause she didn't want to take me to the vet again so soon). I think that getting a nice surprise from the Catifornians helped too! ;)

Timmy, we hope you paw is much better today. Take care of it. I'm sure your Mommy understood when you snapped that it was just because you hurt. Get well soon!

My mom said, "Poor little boy!" when she read about your footie. But we're so glad it's all better now! We need all our footies!

I'm so glad your foot got better! I had a a really owie toe once too and it wasn't any fun. My sister, Quest, will often hold her paw like you're doing in the picture and it's not even hurt. Doesn't she know dogs do that to be charming?
