Eau de "Toilet"

So, Momma worked hard on getting the funny blue water out of the water chair that helped it stay clean. It's now back to the normal color of water and has recently piqued my intrest again. Just this morning, Grammie caught sight of me in the loo, 'vestigating the tub and as I gently climbed up onto the side of the tub, she maked big words at me. I ignored her.

Well, I ignored her until Momma founded out about my 'vestiagtions. I had my paw in the water and was swishing around when Momma promptly picked me up, stuck my head in the bowl and maked the water gurgle! While it was doing that, I gotted a'scared a'cause the water was moving and making funny noises and Momma maked loud noises at me! She maked such loud noises that my ears fell off and my eye things popped out and went swirrling down the hole! I maked my tail thing go all way big and ran like the Dickens I am under the bed!!

Momma and Grammie called me names like "gross", "potty-head", "shtinky pew-pew", "disgusting" and "ewww get away from me with those dirty potty paws". They couldn't understand why I would want to drink that water and not the water from the fountain in the kitchen. But I didn't drink it! Honest! They just don't understand. They just don't understand how fascinating it is to look into a chair and see water.

Your mum tried to flush your head down the toilet?????? That's what it sounds like! Our toilet has blue water, my mum and dad keep the lid down so I won't drink it. But I don't take any interest in going in that room. My sister Hattie used to go in there though, that's when they got in the habit of keeping the lid down.

It looks like to us that they has the chair in the perfect perching spot fur you to sit and stare at the water. Then they go and tell you to get away from it? No, that is not proper. We protest fur you. Let me see the water! Let me see the water!

Kiara used to try to drink the water too. So noew, Momma keeps the lid down. Her kitty-that-came-before used to like to watch the water swirl around. She'd come running when she heard the flushie sound.

Scout is a potty aficianado. Loves to put his paw in & bat at it and of curse drink it. Mom always tries to put the lids down if they get left up, but Scout is pretty quick to scope out and available toilet for a quick drink. -Shaggy

The cat that went to the rainbow bridge,Sasha, used to like to see the water flush. She even learned how to make it flush! Me, I don't see the reason. I love the tub, instead.

If people don't want kitties to investigate their awful liquid litterboxes, then they should close the lid! If it's open, it's fair game...

To My Dear Little Shtinky Boy,

Perhaps you might want to let your friends know that we have a special "water chair" that doesn't come with a lid because your "dramatic" story has made us out to be negligent by leaving the lid up. You know that's an old picture. Don't try to be the innocent one here. I've repeatedly told you NOT go put your head in there but you do it anyway.

Oobie, I am appalled that you'd discuss our loo with all your friends in the first place, a dignified cat would never talk about these things...but I see now that I am the proud parent of an adolescent cat and should expect nothing less. Next, you'll be giggling at the word "poop" or "fart".

Now, go be a good boy and drink from the expensive flowing water fountain I bought for you in the kitchen you spoiled kitten.

I ♥ you Oobie!

-Momma

I don't know why people make such a fuss about these things - I, mean, we'd let THEM play in OUR litter box any time they want -- Alberta, Sky, Blackie and Charlie

Hehe ... your mom gave you a swirly ... I can't help but laugh (with you, not at you). Dad will let us watch as he flushes bugs we've herded for him, but that's about as much interest as we show in the toilet. We much prefer the endless roll of paper instead.

I love watching the toilet swirl. Momma's old cats used to love to drink out of the toilets but I haven't gotten that way. It doesn't bother her that they did that. She worries more about the kitties who drink from stagnant ponds outside.

We aren't allowed to 'vestigate the potty. Lids down is the rule here, and everyone pretty much does it. Hmmm....this might need to be studied. ~Merlin, Shadow, Ko Ko

Oh, my! What a horrifying experience! My people leave the lid down on the toilet, so we can't watch, anyway.

Gosh, I hope you got your ears & eyes back by now! I like to put my paw in and swish it around but I'm the only one in our family that does that.

Wow that is a very scary event! No wonder I am not allowed in there. I hope that you recover soon, it sounded traumatic!
